ABOUT NICOLE
|
For me, a good day is one where I've helped someone in the magical
and focused land of coaching find clarity about what they want and understand
that they are 'enough' to accomplish it. In the last couple of years I've also taken a
stand about the environmental crisis facing the planet. This is
about wanting a good life on a thriving and just planet for my toddler
son. I've gone from knowing little and doing little, to doing and knowing
a whole lot more. And I am
thrilled to help people who feel strongly that they want to be a part of
the solution: whether in their own lives, in their community or in roles of
leadership.

On the path
In my worldview, life is a journey. Mine has taken me a lot of
different places: motherhood, poetry, coaching, nutrition, Spain as
an English teacher, and corporate America where I was a computer programmer.
I regret none of these and each has taught
me valuable lessons and skills. For even though my ten years as a
computer programmer were successful, they also caused me some
pain and suffering.
On the one hand, we should all be grateful for our comparative financial
prosperity - many, many people in this world do not get their needs met.
On the other, we should seek work our heart loves: work with meaning,
work that fits with the gifts that were given to us. It is from this
place that we wield the most strength and peace and where the world
most prospers.
Programming was work my heart hated and in 2004 I started my journey away
from it. Today my work is around being a
mother, a coach and a sustainability educator.
